Almost weekly Salon Owners and Stylists ask me “What is the best method of hair extensions available and which should they employ”.  They all seem to expect the answer to be my favorite “easiLengths tape-in hair extensions of course”!  They are further surprised when I answer the questions with a question!   It depends; what hair type does the client have and what are you trying to achieve?  

easiLengths tape in hair extensions work best for client with hair ranging from thin to medium texture/density.  If the client has thick coarse hair and wants to go from a chin length bob to waist long hair, the best way to extend the hair naturally would most likely be a “strand by strand” system.   However, if your clients have thin to medium density and need/want to add length, volume or color, there is no better method to achieve this safely, comfortably, naturally and quickly than with a  tape in hair extension system.  

The benefits of tape-in hair extensions is that the method is easy for stylists to  learn, fast to apply (hour or less for a full head), lay flat against the head, are comfortable, look natural, are reusable and fit in with the client color cycle of lasting 6 - 8 weeks.  Most people that have easiLengths tape in extensions applied say they cannot feel them and others won’t know unless they’re told. 

So how do tape-in hair extensions accomplish all this!  The method is easy to learn because it requires no tools (low initial investment) and the application, removal and reapplication is straight forward and easy to comprehend.  The system is fast because there are far fewer application points than a traditional “strand by strand” system; 150 – 200 application points for stand by strand versus 12 to 30 applications for a tape in extensions. So how do you know whether tapein hair extensions are right for you?  Do your research and uncover what it is that your clients need; however with the number of features and benefits of a tape in hair extension system, its hard to justify any other method as your primary means of adding length volume and color easily, quickly and affordably.
