Tips for Your Post-Workout Hair

We’ll admit it. We have definitely skipped washing our hair after a workout because we don’t have time or we have already washed our hair too many times that week. In an ideal world, we would always be able to match our workout schedule with our hair washing schedule. In the real world, we know that doesn’t always happen. Below are tips to deal with post-workout hair with tape in hair extensions:

Blowout

If you take your lunch breaks at the gym, this tip will change your life! After your workout, we’re sure your scalp is a little sweaty. Take a blow dryer and flip your hair over and start by drying your roots. After the sweat is dried away, take a dry shampoo, like Rush & Brush, and spray your roots for a cleaner look.

Slicked Back Bun

If you don’t have access to a blow dryer and dry shampoo doesn’t help, this next tip is for you. Pull your hair back into a slicked back ponytail or bun and use a smoothing product for flyaways. Everyone will love your updo and no one will know you just kicked butt in your pilates class.

Air Dry

At easihair pro, we are HUGE fans of letting our hair air dry. If you don’t want to wash your hair but have time to take a shower, you can take a quick rinse and get your entire head wet and letting it air dry. For extra volume, you can pin pieces of hair on the side and remove when your hair is dry.

Pre-Workout Tips

If you’re able to plan ahead, your post-workout hair can be amazing. By keeping your hair up and away from your face you can create voluminous post-workout hair. We also recommend putting your hair up in a braid which will create waves when you take it out. If you’re a headband wearer, opt for soft and thicker hand bands that won’t leave a kink in your head.
