What is your name?
My name is Cassie Boyd.
Instagram:
How long have you worked for easihair pro?
I have been with the company, on July 1st it will be 2 years.
How did you get started working here?
I started my journey to San Diego about 20 years ago and it finally fell in to place in 2016. I knew that starting all over, in a new city building a clientele again, and supporting 2 young men would be difficult. I actually found the position I have in education and salon development on Indeed, and the rest is history.
What is your favorite aspect of working at ehp?
My favorite aspect of working for easihair pro is, being able to enlighten salon professionals in a new way of looking at this category in the salon. Opening their eyes to a volume service that can increase their income by 25% in a very short amount of time without bringing in any new guests! Now that is working smarter. I also love sharing my story and touching hearts.
Who is your “hair icon?”
My icon would have to be Paula Kent Meehan, she started Redken in her bathroom back in 1969. Her belief in healthy hair, beautiful color, and promise to the stylist of authenticity, stills carries through today. Paule has always been an icon in this business, and the company carries on.
Describe your everyday hair look:
I would describe my everyday hair look as classic, with a pop of fun. Back in the day, having checkered boards shaved in my head and purple hair, I would say I have gotten a little conservative with maturing.
What are your go-to products for hair care and styling?
My favorite go-to brands would have to be, Redken’s Pillow Proof, ehp Leave in Heat Treat and Shine, and Rush and Brush.
What hair product can you not live without?
I can not live without Redken’s Pillow Proof and ehp Rush and Brush.
What do you do when you’re not working?
When I am not working, I have just started doing yoga again and bike riding. My young men and I are very close and we hang out all the time, I am so glad that they think I am still cool enough to be seen with!
The animal I most relate to is…
I think the animal that I relate to the most are birds, my great grandma, grandma and my mom all loved birds so much. My grandma actually had very rare birds in the house all my childhood, as pets. They are so beautiful and there are so many different kinds. In the house we live in now my desk looks out the window into our backyard, which has so many trees. I have all different kinds of birds that sit in them. Their sounds are peaceful.
The soundtrack to your life…
I would have to say the soundtrack of my life would be Purple Rain, by Prince. Prince was one of the most talented individuals ever. I sing myself, so I would stand in front of my mirror and belt out his song. I think I saw the movie 50 times.
