How long have you worked for easihair pro?

I’m a NKOTB…just a little over a year or so.

How did you get started working here?

As the old adage goes, “Be careful what you ask for.” I had been doing various types of extensions behind the chair for a few years when my salon brought in a new type of extension training — EHP. I took the training and started offering EHP to my extension guests present and past. EHP literally changed my clients’ hair, and by extension (pun intended) their lives. I, myself, started wearing EHP, and was blown away by the quality of hair offered and the longevity of the bonds. I also experienced a complete turn around on my natural hair…a truly transformative moment. From that point onward, I exclusively offered EHP extensions to my clientele.

My coworkers saw the success that I was having with my extension guests, and wanted me to teach them my ways. So, I begged my manager to get me advanced training with EHP. She set me up with a 4-day class in San Diego, and when I arrived, EHP was like “There are 60 of you here today, and in the end, only 8 of you will remain.” I thought to myself, holy moly, I’m auditioning for American Idol!!! The training was tough, but it was the best thing that ever happened to me, and I am so fortunate to say that I was one of the remaining eight! I’ve been working for EHP ever since.

What is your favorite aspect of working at ehp?

As a hairdresser, I love meeting new people and making people feel good. What I most enjoy about working at EHP, is that I get to connect to like-minded spirits throughout the country, and to not only make them feel good but leave them with a tool that will instantly improve their lives and the lives of those that they touch.

Who is your “hair icon?” Can be a celebrity, influencer, etc.

My hair icon lives somewhere between Axl Rose, Elvira, and Rob Zombie.

Describe your everyday hair look:

I change my hair all the time. Right now, I’m rocking the bedhead look, and am aspiring to channel Keith Richards a la 1970.

What are your go-to products for hair care and styling?

Aveda, Davines, and Virtue all the way!

What hair product can you not live without?

I cannot live without Virtue Recovery Shampoo and Conditioner.

What do you do when you’re not working?

I love to eat, drink, and be merry. I’m an art and pop-culture junkie, who’s always going to a live show or a gallery event. I’m up for an adventure, and I’ve traveled the world. My current home is San Francisco, with my partner-in-crime of 20 years and counting. We have a bohemian loft in the heart of the city, and when we’re not goofing off or running around, I spend my time at CODE salon, specializing in haircutting and extensions.

The animal I most relate to is…

an Extra-Terrestrial, I love other-worldly things and swear that I may have a wink of ESP.

The soundtrack to your life…

is funk as puck!
