Do you remember what made you want to start doing hair professionally?
“When I first went to a salon at 12 years old, I had doused my head in Sun-In. My hair started growing out with a line in it. My Mom took me to a hair salon to get it fixed. I just remember sitting in the chair and feeling important, looking at all the girls – they were young and stylish and I thought “Wow, you can actually do this as a career? Ever since I was 12 I wanted to do hair.”
How many years have you been in the industry?
“I have been a hairdresser for 8 years now.”
What’s the most rewarding aspect of your job?
“I would say the most rewarding part of my job is getting to meet different people from all walks of life and getting to connect with them and have them sit in my chair. I’m a big people person, I love getting to spend time with people.”
What do you love most about using easihair pro?
“I just love easihair pro extensions, for lack of a better term, they’re so easy. They are so effortless in the hair. They’re not high maintenance. It’s hands down the best high-quality hair out there on the market. I think the biggest part is when you’re maintaining the extensions, you don’t have all this stick and gunk. They’re not damaging to my guest’s hair and I think that’s probably the most important thing.”
What do your clients love most about wearing easihair pro?
“What my guests love the most about easihair pro is the fact that they don’t put any stress or strain on your actual hair follicle. They’re certified by the American Hair Loss Council. They’re not going to damage your hair at all. There is a lot of companies out there that don’t have those same qualifications and it can really damage their hair. A lot of people have had bad experiences [with other companies.] I have guests that have been wearing easihair pro for years and none of them have had a bad experience.”
What is your favorite part about wearing easihair pro hair extensions?
“I love when I have easihair pro extensions in my hair, the same thing with my guests, it just gives me a lot more volume and thickness. I don’t really wear it for a lot of length. It was nice having them on my wedding day so that I could have the wedding hair of my dreams – thick, full, hair and not have to worry about it.”
What has easihair pro done for you professionally?
“What easihair pro has done for me professionally, has been: help me to, not only master and perfect my skill when it comes to extensions, but the Education they offer is absolutely the best out there. Professionally, behind the chair, it has helped me to grow my numbers substantially, whether it’s in my retail, my average service per client, my pre-booking percentage. They’ve helped me to give me all the tools I need to be successful behind the chair and be able to work smarter rather than harder.”
What has easihair pro done for you personally?
“What it has done for me personally, I’ve been able to take a step back from behind the chair often and get to have more balance in my life but still have the money to support my lifestyle and have the time for friends, family, and for my husband.”
What advice would you give to your younger self just starting out in the industry?
“I would say to my younger self, align yourself with the right people and the right brands in this industry a lot sooner. It’s made a huge difference in my life aligning myself with people like Gail and David at Headlines, Lance and Paul from easihair pro, and other great brands like Oribe. It’s definitely elevated my career. I wish I would have done that a lot sooner.”
What is something you would like to accomplish in the future professionally?
“I just want extension clients all day long, every day. I want to do even more extensions. I want to do more Brides. I’m the kind of person who loves instant gratification. I love that instant transformation of extensions and bridal looks. I really want to have more of a Social Media presence and focus on the things I love doing personally.”
